• The above services are purely on arrangement basis only.
• HSBC Visa Platinum Assistance will not be responsible for any third party expenses incurred such as deposit money, money transfer and cancellation fee, which will be borne by the Cardholder.
• HSBC Visa Platinum Assistance will not locate goods or services for any commercial purposes requested by the Cardholders. In addition, HSBC Visa Platinum Assistance will not locate items that are prohibited under national law or which contravene universally accepted moral or ethical standards.

HSBC Visa Platinum Roadside Assistance
(i) Emergency Towing Assistance |
| In the event that the Cardholder’s Vehicle breaks down and he/she becomes immobilized while on the road, HSBC Visa Platinum Assistance will assist in making arrangements for the vehicle to be towed to the nearest garage if immediate repair is not possible. |

| (ii) Roadside Repair Assistance |
| In the event that the Cardholder’s vehicle breaks down and immediate repair is deemed possible, HSBC Visa Platinum Assistance will assist the Cardholder by arranging for a car mechanic to come to the site. |
| |
| (iii) Gasoline Refill Service |
| If the Cardholder’s vehicle is immobilized or rendered unroadworthy while on the road due to lack of fuel, HSBC Visa Platinum Assistance will arrange for the attendance of a gasoline refill service operator to the Cardholder’s site or transfer the Vehicle to the nearest fuel station for re-fueling. |

| (iv) Faulty Battery |
| In the event that the Cardholder’s vehicle runs out of battery, HSBC Visa Platinum Assistance will coordinate for battery jump start to be on site. |

| (v) Locksmith Assistance |
| In the event that the User is locked out of his/her vehicle, HSBC Visa Platinum Assistance will assist the User by arranging and paying for the locksmith to be on site. |

| (vi) Alternative Travel Assistance |
| If the Cardholder’s vehicle cannot be repaired and he/she urgently needs to reach his/ her destination, HSBC Visa Platinum Assistance will assist the Cardholder in organizing alternative transport for the Cardholder to continue his/ her journey. |

| Remark: |
• Vehicle shall mean a 4-wheeled motor vehicle and shall exclude motorcycle, public light bus, taxi, bus, truck, heavy duty vehicle and vehicle for hire or reward. The emergency automobile assistance programme includes the above services for Cardholders when driving a vehicle within Thailand.

| HSBC Visa Platinum Home Assistance |
| The Emergency home assistance programme includes the following services provided for the Cardholders when their homes are in Bangkok and Metropolitan Area. |

| (i) Locksmith Assistance |
| In the event that the Cardholder is locked out of his/her home and he/she contacts HSBC Visa Platinum Assistance who will assist the Cardholder by providing a referral information for a locksmith to the house upon the Cardholder’s request. |
| |
| (ii) Plumbing Assistance |
| In the event that a clog or leak occurs, HSBC Visa Platinum Assistance will assist the Cardholder by arranging for a plumber to come repair the problem upon the Cardholder’s request. |
| |
| (iii) Electrical Assistance |
| In the event of an electric power failure or short circuit in the Cardholder’s home, HSBC Visa Platinum Assistance will arrange for electricians to tend to the house upon the Cardholder’s request. |

| (IV) Air-Conditioning Assistance |
| In the event the air conditioner in the Cardholder’s home is not functioning, HSBC Visa Platinum Assistance will arrange for an air-conditioning engineer for a housecall upon the Cardholder’s request. |

| (v) Pest Control Assistance |
| Should the Cardholder require for pest control, HSBC Visa Platinum Assistance will assist the Cardholder by providing referral information for pest control assistance to the house as well as their charges upon the Cardholder’s request. |

| Insurance Benefits |
Travel Accident Insurance for HSBC VISA Platinum Cardholders
Whenever you pay for traveling fares or any package tour, provided that the full package tour cost for such travel is paid by your HSBC VISA Platinum Card, you are entitled to receive free travel accident insurance covering all accidents which result in any loss of life or injuries including, loss of organs, eyesight, or total permanent disability whilst traveling abroad on any public conveyance which has been legally registered of up to USD 300,000. Your spouse and dependent(s) aged under 23 years old shall be inclusively insured, provided that the entire traveling fares or any package tour is paid by your HSBC VISA Platinum Card (Please see more details stated in the table below). |

| Travel Accident Insurance for HSBC Cardholders |
| |
|
You are entitled to Travel Accident Insurance coverage when you fully pay the travel fare and ticket(s) to be a passenger of the licensed aircraft on scheduled flight, scheduled trains, scheduled ships or licensed public transportations. You will be automatically covered for any overseas trips, provided that such travel fare and ticket(s) are paid by HSBC Visa Platinum card.
You are also entitled to the protection against baggage delay, flight delay, trip cancellation and trip curtailment with free of charge. The insurance covers the cardholder, legitimate spouse and dependent children age under 23 years (who are single and do not have any earned income) where the entire fare for the ticket(s) are fully charged to your HSBC Visa Platinum card.
Protection against Travel Accident
You are entitled to Travel Accident Insurance coverage whilst travel on scheduled flight of the aircraft, scheduled trains, scheduled ships or licensed public transportations with the maximum sum insured USD 300,000 without further charges. The insurance covers cardholders, legitimate spouses, and dependent children age under 23 years (who are single or do not have any earned income) where the entire fare for the ticket(s) are fully charged through your HSBC Visa Platinum Card.
Protection against Flight Delay
In the event that the departure of the air common carrier in which you had arranged to travel is delayed for at least 6 consecutive hours from the time specified in the itinerary supplied to you due to inclement weather, equipment failure or strike or other job action by the employees of the air common carrier or airport. You will be paid for each full 6-hour delay up to USD 30 with the maximum sum insured of USD 300.
Protection against Delayed Baggage
In case of the late arrival of your baggage, the reimbursement details are as the following
- Pay 50% of the of the sum insured for the emergency purchase of essential clothing and toiletries if the checked-in baggage accompanying you has been delayed, misdirected or temporarily misplaced by the carrier after 6 hours of your arrival at the airport of the scheduled destination abroad.
- Pay another 50% of the sum insured for the emergency purchase of essential clothing and toiletries if the checked-in baggage accompanying you has been delayed, misdirected or temporarily misplaced by the carrier after 24 hours of your arrival at the airport of the scheduled destination abroad.
Remark : This coverage is not effective if the checked-in baggage accompanying you has been delayed after your arrival in Thailand.
Protection against Trip Cancellation
The insurance covers loss consequent upon the cancellation of the journey necessitated by the following occurring: -
- Death or Serious Injury or Sickness or compulsory quarantine of you, your spouse, your parent, your parent-in-law, your grandparent, your children, your brother or sister.
- Unexpected outbreak of strike, riot or civil commotion arising out of circumstances beyond your control.
The sum insured will cover for loss of travel and/or accommodation expenses that you paid in advance and for which you are legally liable and which are not recoverable from any other source before the date of commencement of the journey.
Remark: This coverage is effective only if it is purchased before you become aware of any circumstances that could lead to the cancellation of your journey.
Protection against Trip Curtailment
The insurance will cover for additional traveling and hotel expenses or board incurred and loss of travel and/or accommodation expenses that you paid in advance or forfeited you after the commencement of the holiday or travel consequent upon you having to return directly to Thailand following the serious injury or sickness or the unexpected death of you, your spouse, your parent, your parent-in-law, your grandparent, your children, your brother or sister who reside(s) in Thailand.
Remark : This coverage is effective only if it is purchased before you become aware of any circumstances that could lead to the disruption of your journey. The Insured Person cannot claim under Trip Cancellation Coverage and Curtailment Expenses Coverage (if any) for the same event.
Claims Process
In the event of claim, or of any event likely to give rise to a claim under this policy, the evidence of claim (e.g. death certificate, receipt, police certificate, proofs of delayed baggage etc.) must be given to the Insurance Company no later than 30 days after the loss or damage occurrence.
