HSBC's Verified by Visa and MasterCard^® SecureCode™ are the secure online payment services to provide you with extra security and peace of mind when you shop online with your HSBC's personal credit cards*.

HSBC in Thailand has enhanced the level of security for internet banking to protect and secure your online transactions via HSBC credit card. Therefore, you are required to answer security questions upon transaction in website (for supplementary card or primary card which has not been registered with Verify by Visa and/or MasterCard^® SecureCode™) or register to Verify by Visa and/or MasterCard^® SecureCode™ service (for primary cardholder only) via your Personal Internet Banking to protect your online credit card usage from fraudulent attempts. Any online transaction without online security may be automatically blocked.

How does it work?

Register the secure online payment services (Verified by Visa or MasterCard^® SecureCode™) with HSBC's personal credit cards by creating your password and personal message via online@hsbc
Shop online at participating merchants and pay with your HSBC's personal credit cards which you have registered** for the secure online payment services.
Verify that the authentication screen is genuine by checking that the personal message is the one you created at the time of registration.
Enter your Verified by Visa or MasterCard^® SecureCode™ password to authenticate the transaction and complete your online purchase.

* All HSBC's personal credit cards can enjoy the secure online payment services.

** If you have not registered Secure Online Payment Service and pay online transaction with HSBC credit card, you will be asked to answer security questions upon transaction in website
