Recently, there were attempts to obtain credit card and personal information by fraudsters via telephone. Fraudsters would falsely claim them as the officer of the bank or any other reliable organisation, and convince cardholders to disclose as much information as possible including any means of action to render ATM cardholders to transfer fund, or credit cardholders to hand the credit card, to them. |
If you receive such telephone call, you are suggested to contact directly to Security and Fraud Risk Department of HSBC at (02) 614-5282 (24 hrs.) before making any action. |

| Spoofed e-mail / Fake website |
HSBC would like to alert Personal Internet Banking and Business Internet Banking customers that recently there were suspicious e-mails / websites requesting for confidential information from HSBC customers. |
In case, you have received any suspicious e-mails / web link similar to the above, please be advised not to provide any information and delete them immediately in order to prevent computer virus and fraudulent use of your personal information. HSBC does not have a policy to request customers’ personal information, password and security codes via e-mail. |
HSBC has currently reported the above fraudulent activities to the police, who are working with relevant authorities to shut down the fraudulent site. |
If you have still received spoofed e-mail or have revealed your security details to such website, please immediately notify to Security and Fraud Risk Department of HSBC at (02) 614-5282 (24 hrs.) |
